How to become a Volunteer?
Pennsylvania law requires all community members and parents to obtain the necessary clearances before volunteering in our schools. If you have previously submitted your clearances to the Human Resources Office, they remain valid for five (5) years from the date of issue.
Step 1: Confirm Volunteer Opportunities
Contact the school where you would like to volunteer to find out if they are currently accepting volunteers.
Step 2: Complete the Required Clearances
Volunteers must complete the following background checks:
-
Act 34, Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check
-
Act 151, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Act 114, FBI Fingerprinting (or affidavit)
- How to get your clearances?
Note: Fees for these clearances are waived for volunteers whose applications were submitted after July 25, 2015, according to state guidelines.
Step 3: Complete the online Mandated Child Abuse Training (Act 126). Call the administration office to submit your email address for registration for the training.
Step 4: Submit Your Forms
Once your clearances are complete, please fill out the following forms and bring all documents to the District Office:
Thank you for your willingness to serve our schools and community!
