This message is to inform families that there is not, nor was there any threat today in the Chestnut Ridge School District. Unfortunately, the Altoona Police Department decided to run a drill today and used the name Chestnut Avenue, leading some to associate this with Chestnut Ridge School District. This decision has caused considerable alarm needlessly. There is no threat and all students and staff are safe. We apologize for the senseless alarm this may have caused our students, staff, and community.
